Top Four Things I Learned From Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra

Refinery 29 is my favorite website when it comes to solid interview pieces about beauty and fashion. The team is remarkable in providing meticulously done interviews of amazing people across the globe. I was lucky to get a fabulous treat by reading a story about Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra. It was an inspiring experience so I want to share it with you.

Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra is a silver-screen superstar. She starred in the television show Quantico as Alex Parrish. The talented Indian beauty has also started making music. Lately, she was named the first Indian star to enter the Forbes list of highest paid television actresses in the world, after starring on American series, Quantico.

Here are the top 4 things that I learned from the television star. Let's talk about it.

Women pull each other down all the time. That’s our weakness. The boys come together — like bromance. Why can’t girls do it, too?
Well said, Priy. Indeed, men help each other. They stick together when there's a problem. That's what I noticed even up to now.

Women does the opposite - pulling each other down. I'm not really sure about the main reason that girls do hate each other sometimes but I really believe it is because of the tendency to share different standards on beauty. There's insecurity that was created out of the standardization of beauty in different ways. The best thing to do? Let's tell the world that each one of us is unique. Each has her own asset. Let's unite, too!

I don’t want a label. I don’t want a box. I want a legacy.

It's obvious that Priyanka is a perfect example of a woman with a vision - someone who knows what she wants in life. She has a sense of direction by just admitting to herself and sharing it with us that she wants a legacy. It's a greater purpose than being just another beautiful television star. That's what her legions of fans love about her.

I want to be able to conform, to evolve, and be whoever and go wherever. Just like everyone else.

Exactly the same reason I think differently. I don't want to stay in one corner and be the same person all throughout my life. I want to evolve and learn different things.

Do you love to take different roles in life? It's really worthwhile to do it. If you're down, try doing things that you don't usually do such as helping a group of people achieve community projects and serving as a volunteer in an outreach activity. Choose your own way of exploring the world.

There’s a saying in India, that drops of water make the ocean. You have just got to consistently work at it. Because no one’s ever going to give it to you.
This is very inspiring for me. It motivates me to give life to my vision by working smart all the time. Truly, no one will give you what you want. People tend to keep it for themselves. All you have to do is to show the world that you have a potential in everything. Don't be apologetic. Show your individuality. If you fail now, there's always another day to stand up and fight again. Start small. Then, make your dreams grow bigger. I know that massive success is a collection of little victories.
