I had a wonderful time reading the novel, If I Stay, and I really like it. It's a story that talks about Mia and Adam's love for each other and for their love of music - a guitar for Adam and cello for Mia. When I read the first few pages of the book, I thought of learning to play a musical instrument and get one great opportunity to express myself through music.

At first, I find the story so boring. The prose is just simple as it's presented in the perspective of Mia, the protagonist of the story.

But when I jumped to the part where she was brought to the hospital because of the car accident, I became so emotional. I like how it was written. It's so easy to fall in love.

There are major things in life that I want to think about. What if I'll about to loose the love of my life just like Adam? If I'm Mia, how will I decide? Will I choose to die instead of staying with the people that I love?

Mia is surrounded with loving relatives and friends and she witnessed how they truly love her when she's in the hospital. She has decided to let go of herself, thinking that dying is easier than living. However, she changed her mind when Adam held her hand so tightly and asked her to stay.

Do you like the novel If I Stay? How about the film version? Let's talk about it in the comments below. And let me know if you have read the second part, Where She Went.
